Mages in Manhattan (The Roppongi Enchanters, #2)
After his battle with Jorōgumo, Scott is battered psychically and physically, rapidly aged to near-death. He only wants to rest and recuperate to regain his youth.
A business reversal that threatens his income, as well as many of his projects, forces him to schedule a visit to New York City. The city whose Witches Council banned free Mages like Scott over one hundred years ago.
At the height of his powers, Scott laughed at the ban. Now, knowing that his weakened condition makes such a trip risky, he asks his ally from the battle with Jorōgumo, Kitty-Sue, to accompany him on the business trip as his bodyguard.
A Kitsune’s ‘Tale’ (The Roppongi Enchanters, #1)
With cat-like grace (and she would hate to hear herself described that way) she placed her left hand on the handrail and leaped from the downward moving escalator to land lithely two steps ahead and facing me on the upward moving escalator. The momentary flash of her panties distracted me until I felt the thump of her landing. Unlike the purely spiritual creatures, like my ghost student, Kitsune have a physical presence in our world.
The Ghost in Roppongi Station (The Roppongi Enchanters, #0.5)
Scott is a not-so-ordinary western guy living in Tokyo, Japan. He has a secret life, one that involves ghosts and magic. One day, while making his rounds on the Tokyo Metro Roppongi Station, he encounters a ghost girl, Akiko.
Akiko is bound by magic and obligation, unable to leave the station. Scott can help her become free, but doing so could unleash unnatural forces, destroying them both.
The question is, will Scott make the right decision?

This site is dedicated to the supernatural world that exists beside modern Tokyo. It’s the most modern city in the world, but occasionally the magical will peek out and be seen by those observant enough. Here you will find stories about: A magician who breaks a curse holding a ghost on Earth, not knowing the consequences A magician in a love triangle with a ghost and a kitsune A fierce battle between humans and a spider-goddess Yakuza gangsters with magical tattoos shaking down bars for tribute in the Red Light District A child born of magic and her dragon godmother A battle with a Samurai ghost, seeking vengeance for wrongs committed hundreds of years ago Various Japanese deities who enjoy spending time at the bar A female werewolf from the US who finds more than she expected in Tokyo And magical swords, no urban fantasy would be complete without magical swords All of that and more. We’re going to have fun!
About the Author
Phil Gabriel is a world travelling engineer, author, and expert at getting the most from life. He has visited more countries than he can keep track of, on all continents except Antarctica (maybe next year). In each of the countries visited, he has always tried to find the best places to eat, drink, and enjoy life. His dedication to the search has resulted in some awesome memories; only some of which can be discussed in public. He has worked as a troubleshooting engineer on everything from nuclear submarines to advanced aircraft. This background has inclined him to look at life as a series of engineering problem that must be solved. He has spent several years in Japan, immersed in the culture of the Roppongi Bar district. From a chance encounter where he expressed an interest in the supernatural, he was led to study the history and mythology of Japan. His research has led to a series of interconnected stories set in the Tokyo Supernatural world. He also wonders if anyone ever reads...
